A Little Word

Who Am I ?

Although, I am ethnically Indian, I was born and brought up in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

I moved to the United Kingdom at 17 to pursue my passion for media. After completing a foundation programme at Birmingham City University International College, I went on to study Media Production at Birmingham City University, graduating with First-Class Honours.

Today, I focus on creating impactful visual and audio stories that explore culture, identity, and real human experiences.

I’m someone whose mind is constantly generating ideas.

Sometimes from my own experiences, sometimes from pure imagination. Experience helps me connect emotionally with my audience, while imagination drives innovation in my work. I create not only to express myself but also to encourage others to think, feel, and be inspired.

What Is EMP ?

EMP stands for Emil Philip. I first created the name in high school to organise my creative work, but over the years, it has grown into much more. Throughout university, EMP became the identity behind my films, experiments, and ideas — a foundation for my creative voice. Today, it represents not just a brand, but who I am as a storyteller and the values that shape my work.
